In order to open the Tabakalera cinema programming to the participation of other groups, the choice of this film has been in charge of the UNIK group.

Kaotic Intelligence Natural Universe (UNIK) is an open meeting and creation space that works around the experience, enunciation and politicization of psychosocial discomfort. During the film selection process, we have reflected on the languages ​​of cinema, as well as on the imaginaries of madness and of the madwoman in different times and currents. Through the chosen documentary they wanted to bring to the debate the methods and processes that the system has to build "otherness".

This session will be presented by the UNIK group, and there will be a discussion after the screening.

Sypnosis: Every year in France 92,000 people are admitted to psychiatric centers without their consent. Under the law, the hospital has 12 days to bring each patient before a judge. Based on medical histories and a doctor's recommendations, a crucial decision must be made: whether the patient should go or stay. They are twelve days after which a life can change forever. The prestigious director and photographer Raymond Depardon, who has had access to these hearings for the first time, collects these extraordinary encounters between justice and psychiatry.
