Alberto López (Seville, 1979) is a designer, curator and visual artist who addresses issues such as identity, politics and the environment through his work.

Alberto López has taken part in various shows and has been a finalist in festivals such as Metropolis Art Prize (New York, 2009) and One Minute Festival (Amsterdam, 2010). He has participated in workshops, including Dictaduras de la democracia. El concepto como ejemplo (Dictatorships of Democracy. Concept as Example) by Isidoro Valcárcel-Medina (Arteleku, San Sebastián, 2010), and a workshop by Lothar Baumgarten (Fundación Botín, Santander, 2012).

Since 2015 he has directed Surfari, a surf documentary film festival in Andalusia (in Conil de la Frontera) and curated the exhibition Guerra, ocupación y emergencia. Surf en las barricadas. (War, occupation and emergency. Surf in the barricades.) He is currently working on the project Andalucía Transversal, a research laboratory for the creation of a digital platform which aims to document and make information available about emerging public spaces in Andalusia.
