Ana Longoni (CONICET-UBA) is a writer, independent CONICET researcher and undergraduate and postgraduate professor at the University of Buenos Aires and in the MACBA Independent Studies Programme (Barcelona).

With a PhD in Art (UBA), she specialises in the crossovers between art and politics in Argentina and Latin America from the middle of the twentieth century to the present day. Recent publications, either on her own or in collaboration, include: Del Di Tella a Tucumán Arde (Buenos Aires, El cielo por asalto, 2000, reprint: Eudeba, 2008 and 2010), Traiciones. La figura del traidor en los relatos acerca de los sobrevivientes de la represión (Buenos Aires, Norma, 2007), El Siluetazo (Buenos Aires, Adriana Hidalgo, 2008), Conceptualismos del Sur/Sul (Sao Paulo, Annablume, 2009), Romero (Buenos Aires, Espigas, 2010), Roberto Jacoby. El deseo nace del derrumbe (Barcelona, La  Central/Adriana Hidalgo/MNCARS, 2011), Leandro Katz (Buenos Aires, Espigas, 2013) and Vanguardia y revolución (Buenos Aires, Ariel, 2014). She compiled the texts on art by Oscar Masotta published in Revolución en el arte (Buenos Aires, Mansalva, 2017). Exhibitions she has curated include "El deseo nace del derrumbe" (MNCARS, Madrid, 2011), "Perder la forma humana" (MNCARS, Madrid, 2012/MALI, Lima, 2013/MUNTREF Buenos Aires, 2014), "Con la provocación de Juan Carlos Uviedo" (MUAC, Mexico, 2015) and "Oscar Masotta: la teoría como acción" (MUAC, Mexico, 2017/MACBA, Barcelona, 2018/Parque de la Memoria, Buenos Aires, 2018). Two theatrical works written by her have premiered in Buenos Aires "La Chira" (2003) and "Árboles" (2006). She has promoted the Southern Conceptualisms Network since its founding in 2007. Since 2018 she has been the Public Activities Director at the Reina Sofía Museum (Madrid).
