The urgency imposed by the deterioration of the planet calls for stories that are up to the task. Are there films that can imagine the path towards a more sustainable society? With the conviction that cinema can change the world, we are launching this training course, which will allow us to begin to construct fictions and narratives that appeal to our emotions to take on the great threat of our time: the climate crisis.
The workshop will consist of three phases. First, Marta García Larriu, director of the Another Way Association, will put the situation of global warming and the concepts associated with sustainable development into context. Next, we will analyse new approaches to the relationship between the climate crisis and audiovisual narrative. Finally, Spanish filmmaker Óscar Pérez Ramírez will propose a group dynamic to stimulate creators to incorporate environmental issues organically into their stories.
Speakers:

Its flagship event is the film festival on sustainable progress: Another Way Film Festival, which has just closed its first French edition in the city of Bordeaux and is preparing the 10th edition in Madrid (Oct. 2024).
