Smartphones have changed our lives. We always carry them with us, but how about being able to create these applications instead of just using them? Thanks to its visual, user-friendly environment, you can create mobile applications for Android without any specific programming knowledge using App Inventor 2.
We will learn how to install and configure App Inventor by looking at a few examples. Then we will have the chance to choose from three types of applications with different levels of difficulty: beginner, easy, and intermediate. Among these applications, one or two will be developed during the course. Everyone can go at their own pace.
Lastly, once we get familiar with all of the options that this tool offers, we will define and develop an application in groups. At the end of the course, we will see and present the completed work, and everyone will have access to the applications created.
This course requires that you have a Google account (an App Inventor requirement) and a computer (available upon request, by writing in advance to ubik@tabakalera.eu). Having an Android device at hand is recommended, although not essential, as we will use an application emulator.
In this workshop, Gorka Julio will show us how to create mobile applications for Android without any special knowledge of programming.
