Beñat Sarasola is a writer and researcher. Sarasola received his doctorate in Literature Theory and Shared Literature from the University of Barcelona, and is currently a professor at the University of the Basque Country. Among his research publications, of particular note is the book Bainaren belaunaldia: Ustela, Pott eta Oh! Euzkadi, which he produced thanks to the Santiago Onaindia research grant, analysing the generation of writers that brought modernity to Basque literature through three literary magazines. As a writer, Sarasola has published two books of poetry, Kaxa Huts Bat (Susa, 2007) and Alea (Susa, 2009), as well as a novel, Deklaratzekorik ez (Susa, 2019). As an editor, he directed the Munduko Poesia Kaierak collection from publishing house Susa until 2022, translating the very best modern and contemporary poetry into the Basque language.
