Blanca Arrieta is a choreographer, performer and collaborator in numerous contemporary creations. She trained at the London Contemporary Dance School/The Place, and since 2000 she has dedicated herself to her own creations. Initially, this was through an intense focus on movement. But the word and text always have an important presence in the origins of her projects. Her curiosity for other languages and artistic practices is reflected in her creations, in which the body, the fundamental axis of her work, dialogues and intertwines with other compositional elements. These processes require time and a methodical work of construction around bodies in movement. Blanca is based in Bilbao and has produced a wide variety of stage works. Her most recent work is oriented towards new ways of creating and understanding dance production.
