In Blue Velvet, writer and director David Lynch delves into the mysterious and frightening depths of life in small towns, where nothing is as it seems. Starring Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Laura Dern and Dennis Hopper, it is considered one of the best psychological horror films of the eighties.
In 1987, Lynch was nominated for an Oscar for best director for this film. And in 2016, Criterion released the digital restoration in 4K. The restoration was supervised by David Lynch himself.
