Descripción Larga
Artists in residence Cai Tomos and Itxaso Díaz formed a group to study the body, its stories and its context. For that purpose, they organised a 10-day workshop in which they used video as a medium to create video portraits of the participants, with the aim of capturing the experience, movement and emotions of the body.
The stories of life – the body’s stories – were the starting point for approaching the idea of “portraits in movement” through filmic and choreographic processes.
The workshop revolved around three elements:
- The relationship with our body and its stories.
- The relationship of our body with our environment.
- How the medium of video can help us to show this.
The exercises focused on the experience of the body with the aim of enabling each participant to create their own video portrait.
They showed publicly the workshop results in a presentation in October 21st.
