BROTA - Ivonne Villamil

BROTA is an Artistic Project I am presenting for the residency at Tabakalera, which consists of visual exploration and research with materials from the earth (metals) and mineral pigments to construct a series of pieces (mainly sound sculptures) that work as expanders of sensory perception and can be activated later through interaction with bodies, movement, time, and space. The proposal stems from studies on the limits and possibilities of listening through the properties of matter, the use of techniques and technologies as experiential practices, and how, from there, the presence of human beings interacting with other beings (living and not), other elements, and phenomena in nature is addressed.
