New economic models demand an ever-greater level of attention and involvement, and often condition our most personal gestures and reflexes. The way in which attention, desire and empathy are managed through industrial procedures and reasoning has led some of today's thinkers to talk of a society which is tired and incapable of finding any sort of motivation.
