From Ontologias feministas we work with damage archives. In our workshops we have thematised phenomena that hurt us, that we cannot see, that we cannot open, that we cannot walk through, images of pandemic illness or traumatic images. They are images, sounds, videos that refer to a damage that points, in many cases, towards us: small fragments of our archives of personal and political damage.
On this occasion we want to play and fiddle with the imperceptible and invisible aspects of virtual objects that sometimes make us understand their wounds and vulnerabilities - their damage - as illegible archives. All these non-places, these damages, that are generated when trying to read, open or interpret an element in a software, system or community that is not its own, will be the material we will work with.
Through a series of conversions between different interpretation tools we will make a collective archive of the damage. A hybrid element between a physical portable object and a virtual place, containing the different objects that we will generate during this encounter. We invite you to deform these materials, to damage them, to convert them until they become hybrid and finally to keep them carefully, as a treasure that only those attending the workshop will be able to understand, to read.
