Short film: The Dream is Just in my Mind (Miguel Ariza)
Cybernetic memories of demijohns, tuned cars and pills kept in a drawer come to the surface with the anthem of the best period in the history of Spain in terms of having a good time. The Dream Is Just In My Mind explores and delves into the testimonies, in Youtube commentary format, of those who experienced the now mythical Bakalao Route in their flesh.
Documentary: Sister with Transistors (Lisa Rovner)
When electronic music became popular, they were the forgotten ones. We are talking about female sonic adventurers such as Bebe Barron, Pauline Oliveros,
Maryanne Amacher or Eliane Radigue. Women who helped shape the soundscape of the future with magnetic tape, the first synthesizers and computers that took up an entire room. This film aims to redress the historical injustice done to them and their legacy with a hypnotic montage of archival footage, the voice-overs of the protagonists, newsreels, video art, film, dance and computer images. Science, sound exploration, deep listening, poetry, mysticism and the daily struggle to assert oneself in a world that invariably reserves the credits in large print for men. Essential.
