In the afternoon, at the park exit. Christian has met Ariane from work, and they are waiting for the bus. Ariane talks about her work in the nurseries and about her sister, Isabel. Christian has fallen in love with Isabel and Ariane talks about her fear of being abandoned by him. Christian is a photographer who has no regular income. He has lunch at the house of a friend who is a painter and has a wife and a son, and who leads a life that seems so natural it is not questioned by anyone. Christian asks Isabel if she wants to move into his house and she tries to avoid seeing Ariane again. The three of them think that it is only a matter of time before everything returns to normal, but nobody knows how to act in the meantime.
