Digital manufacturing combines computer design with mechanized production, but what is it used for? Although primarily applied in industrial production, the popularity of Digital Manufacturing Laboratories (Fab Lab) has brought this technique to the general public. Using machines such as 3D printers, laser cutters or mills, sectors such as the manufacture of furniture, jewellery, new craftwork, architecture and even art have included it as part of their professions.
How will we use digital manufacturing?
Based on simple computer design techniques and digitizing elements created by hand, we will work on topics such as architecture, decoration, jewellery and toy design. We will learn the logic behind each design and use our creativity with the equipment we have in the laboratory.
