Edgar Zendejas, Mexican national, 18 years a dancer for the bjm_danse company, as well as for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago.
Zendejas won the Hubbard Street 2 Choreographic Competition in 2010, competed as a finalist for the Milwaukee Ballet’s choreographic competition GENESIS, won the Outstanding Choreographer Award from Youth American Grand Prix in 2012 and won the famous “Winning Works” competition by the Joffrey Academy in Chicago in 2019. He explores new fields of collaboration as Director of creation with the National Circus School of Montreal. He is also a choreographer, acrobatic choreographer and artistic guide for Cirque du Soleil, Cirque du Soleil at Sea, Franco Dragone Productions in China, the Starlight Circus in Switzerland and with Cirque Eloize, Montreal 2021.
Is the founder and director of the Ezdanza ensemble, in existence for 16 years. The LORCA project was the first work by Ezdanza in collaboration with contemporary dancers and circus artists inspired by the life and work of Spanish poet Federico García Lorca.
