Descripción Larga

Klak! Gazte Ahotsa is a media outlet created after the fall of Gaztesarea and Topatu. It is made up of young people and created with the aim of fighting oppression and the silence suffered by youth. This isn’t a simple media outlet, but rather a comprehensive project that we can only find online. It integrates the realities and perspectives of Basque Country’s seven territories. Their content is produced in podcast form and is entirely in Basque. They are published every Wednesday on the Klak.eus website, iVoox, and Spotify.

This media outlet was created to provide new answers to old questions; a space to share that is presented as a new benchmark for bringing together diverse perspectives. Its aim is to foster the ability to share opinions, promote reflection, construct perspectives, and influence the Basque Country’s media landscape for its younger citizens.

Klak! also collaborates with the region’s media outlets in order multiply its capacity for innovation and influence. In turn, it also works with youth-based movements. The media outlet shares and addresses diverse opinions and differing perspectives. In addition, it is aware of our hetero-patriarchal reality and works to transcend it.

This is a transformative project, a showcase of liberating societal models that is critical of oppressive systems, while also active in the search for alternatives to help fight them. Ultimately, Klak! is participatory, and reaches out for youth involvement. This is a self-managed project, which means that it keeps moving forward with the help of contributions from listeners.
