Eloy Fernández Porta (Barcelona, 1974) earned a doctorate scholarship from Boston College, a Doctorate in Humanities from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and was Fellow Lecturer at Duke University.

He has published ten books, including the essays Afterpop, Homo Sampler, €RO$, Emociónese así, En la confidencia, and the Catalan-language L’art de fer-ne un gra massa, all of which in Anagrama.

He was honoured with the Extraordinary Doctorate Award, the Anagrama Award, and the City of Barcelona Award. His cultural criticism texts have been adapted into comics (Carlos Maiques and Marcos Prior), video creations (Carles Congost and Natxo Medina), as well as spoken word (with Agustín Fernández Mallo and Jose Roselló), and have been translated into English, French, and Portuguese. His series of articles on art, entitled Nubada en prosa, were published in Jot Down and Núvol. He has also collaborated on EXIT and A*Desk.
