The aim of the project from the Escuela de Oficios Electrosonoros is to provide an innovative teaching and learning programme around electronic/electro-acoustic music with a focus on gender issues. The project is centred on the following lines of work: research into cultural mediation processes around listening in this type of art; acoustic experimentation with electronic and digital instruments; creating online educational resources; training music teachers; and disseminating musical culture in schools.

The project is managed by Patricia Raijenstein, a cultural educator who runs education projects around listening, sound art and gender, along with Jesús Jara, a cultural mediator whose work highlights the importance of technology in contemporary musical creation. The school is currently funded by the Fundación Daniel y Nina Carasso and is part of AMEE (Spanish Association of Electro-Acoustic music and Sound Art).
