A way, not just to understand but to experience experimental cinema.
Experimental film brings together some of the most varied film making practices under this threatening term. Despite the differences, the exaltation of form, remoteness from the commercial circuit, its experimental nature and rejection of conventional narrative are, among others, some of the features that films that are considered experimental share. In this way, experimental cinema, as a practice for expressing ideas and bringing experiences together, defines itself by what it is not, i.e. by being something other than mainstream cinema. But the existence of this type of conventional cinema, omnipresent and omnipotent, beyond detracting from experimental practice, praises and gives it meaning.
Experimental Screen is a meeting point for these particular views, with the intention of bringing the public closer to this type of material. A way, not just to understand but to experience experimental cinema.
