Felipe Polanía

Political activist (Colombia, 1970) on asylum, migration and anti-racism, artistic mediator and political exile in Zurich since 1997. He studied graphic design and social communication in Colombia and a master’s in arts education at the University of the Arts (ZHbK) in Switzerland. Since 2008 he has taken part in various artistic, educational and political projects in Switzerland. He was co-founder of the Autonomous School Zurich (ASZ) from 2009 to 2012, and of the political and artistic collective Antikulti Atelier from 2010 to 2014. In 2014 and 2015 he was artistic mediator in Zurich's Shedhalle gallery, and since 2015 has managed projects for community radio and special programming on the local alternative radio station Zúrich Radio LoRa. Felipe Polania's work as an artistic mediator and on various texts and conferences addresses themes such as racism, colonialism, migration, exile and memory.
