Frágil Como o Mundo (Rita Azevedo Gomes, Portugal, 2002, 90')

The film narrates the story of two love-struck adolescents, nearly children, that despite living in a seemingly idyllic or bucolic environment, will be revealed the paths of sadness and pain, in a transition that Azevedo Gomes employs between colour and black and white, and between narration by Mário Barroso and sound work by Joaquim Pinto, that accompanies and breaks away from the images, lending a literary and almost dream-like dimension to the story.
