Gabriela Sagarminaga

Gabriela Sagarminaga is a product designer and researcher of traditional techniques. She has worked in different parts of the social innovation sector in Latin America (conceptualising a Living Lab for the Town Hall of Medellín, and developing the Daungiro research project). She has also worked in the fashion sector (prototyping department of Custo Barcelona) and has been involved in creating and organising events such as the Borobilbi Festival (“Learning With Rubbish” in Bilbao), OSCEdays (Open Source and Circular Economy days, in Bilbao and France) and Barcelona Bridal Week.


She currently designs interior design products and is co-founder of WOW, a circular economy and historical memory textiles project which boosts the value of local textile techniques which are in danger of disappearing and hybridises these with the latest trends.
