Gala Hernández

I am an artist filmmaker and resercher. Through interdisciplinary research and the production of docu-fiction films, video installations and performances, my work explores new modes of subjectivation, specifically as produced b computaional digital capitalism. Form a feminist and critical lens, I examine discourses and imaginaries circulating i virtual communities as fictional symptoms of a state of the world. My work has been selected at Berlinale, DOK Leipzig, Cinéma du Réel, IndieLisboa, Transmediale, Centre Wallonie Bruxelles, Berwick Film and Media Arts Festival, Clermont-Ferrand and the Salon de Montrougu, among others. My film La Mécanique des Fluides won the César for Best Documentary Sort film in 2024.
