In English, the term flicker is used to refer to any light phenomenon that causes flashes of light in the eye.
The films that we group under this term (flickering) are characterised by the high speed and mathematical composition of colours, without any added presentation.
This extreme lack of dressing leads us to the origins of cinema, the DNA of the magic of cinema, the deception of our eyes. On the other hand, but similarly revealing the structure of cinema, would be those films which, by limiting the movement of the camera, expand time to excess.
