Geologist Koenraad Van den Driesche guides a Walk through deep time while drawing with chalk a time line from the Big Bang till the Anthropocene on a scale of 1 cm is 1 million year (146 m long).
Walking along the time line, the geologist comments the most important events. On the ground, he draws the most striking animal tracks, the so-called ichnofossils that are found in the corresponding geological layers.
In the last 2 mm the Homo sapiens makes his appearance. A very tiny line of a few micrometers marks the Anthropocene, with an each time more important impact on earth and increasing extinction velocities.
