Harley Martínez (Terrassa, 1993) revolves his work around architecture and urban phenomena, concepts from which he builds pieces, exhibitions, devices and ideas steeped in a powerful, formal, analytical attitude. Using strong aesthetics, he gives special importance to the relationship between the artistic element and its perception. In this way, the message in Harley’s production is always consistent on two fronts: The form  of the city and its perception by the subject. And the tactics and strategies that are built around an artistic product for a better understanding of the interlocutor.

In 2014, he received the Sala d’Art Jove de la Generalitat de Catalunya award, being the youngest person to win it. Thanks to this, he produced El Milagro (The Miracle), a video that analyzes and aestheticises parameters on which it was massively built during developmentalism in Barcelona. This short was presented at MACBA (Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona) and was published in Arch Daily and Plataforma Arquitectura.

Last year, his works were presented at MACBA, during Barcelona Design Week (design festival organised by the Museu de Disseny de Barcelona, the FAD and BCD) and FNAC, among others. He is currently working on Badia, a documentary by ESCAC Films, portraying the current Spanish socio-political situation through Badia del Vallès, a newly-built town in 1974 in the shape of Spain.
