Helga Massetani Piemonte is a visual artist and founder of Bitamine, a room for artistic, cultural and social research on the border. She studied Fine Arts, obtaining a degree in Visual Arts at the National University of Arts (Buenos Aires). Subsequently, she entered the social sciences, taking a degree in Sociology at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the UNED, Bergara, Euskadi. She also founded the artists' collective Artitadetó, with which she participated in different cities in Europe. In Buenos Aires she developed a cultural management project at the Casal de Catalunya for which she was sent to the Forum of Cultures 2004 (Barcelona). Since her arrival in the Basque Country in 2005 she has worked in different institutions within the artistic and cultural sector. She has been artist-in-residence at the Arteleku Contemporary Art Centre (2006-2010), and curator at leading institutions such as Museo Oiasso, Ficoba, Muntref and BienalSur.
