His main lines of research focus on the way in which power dynamics contribute to the production of subjects and spaces, for this reason placing particular importance on the relationship between biopolitics and necropolitics. This has been the foundation on which he has carried out research on security politics, addressing its reflection in the migration and border question.

His latest books are Habitar lo inhabitable. La práctica político-punitiva de la tortura (Bellaterra, 2014) and El poder y la caza de personas. Frontera, seguridad y necropolítica (Bellaterra, 2022).
