TODO LO CUBRE LA SAL, Joana Moya Blanco, Basque Country, 16 min
Fifty-seven is the number of net-makers who work on the coasts of the Basque Country at a traditional task that they continue to carry out as if time had stopped. With their hands covered in salt they weave unceasingly and in silence. They are part of the sea and its mystery. The alert from a boat breaks the quiet of the night, a lighthouse illuminates everything with its light, a sailor travels adrift through the thoughts of the water, and hands dance and dance until they merge with the nets. The short film was part of the Kimuak catalogue and was programmed at festivals such as Doclisboa, Zinebi and Malaga.
