Iñaki Regidor Mendiolea

Computer Engineer from the University of Deusto.

He began his professional career in 1986 in a consulting company working as a COBOL programmer for industrial companies, such as Altos Hornos de Vizcaya and ICOA Poliuretanos, and others, in the service sector, such as EROSKI and Seguros Lagunaro, in BULL mainframe environments. He served as project manager carrying out various projects for the Basque Government IT company (EJIE), for OSAKIDETZA and for the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council (IBM AS-400).

His last job in that company was to prepare a plan for the computerization of management processes in the company Babcock Montajes, SA, where his mission was mainly focused on the integration of business applications and supporting works scattered throughout various parts of the state geography. .

In September 1999 he took over the Systems Department of the Euskal Irrati Telebista Communication Group. His work in these almost 22 years includes those of development, support and technological support for the maintenance and deployment of business processes within the EiTB Group, through Intranet platforms, with a vision of single data, work Flow and zero papers and that of support to the corporate website until 2011. He is also the director responsible for Environmental management and the director responsible for data protection.

In the last ten years, he has been very focused on improving cybersecurity, especially from the legal obligation to join the National Security Scheme.

He is a member of the ICT strategic committee of the Basque Government, of the Corporate Security and Privacy Committee-GURESEK of the Basque Government and of its technical committee, representing EITB.

He regularly participates as a speaker, presenter and facilitator in various conferences on cybersecurity, data protection, etc.
