Inès Sieulle is a French director based in Paris. She studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris before joining the Fresnoye - Studio national des arts contemporains and the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. Her work aims to shed light on the contemporary social dynamics that surround her. She combines her different artistic experiences in theatre, sculpture, video, digital arts and installation to create sensitive forms of storytelling with a documentary and fictional approach.
Her short film, The Oasis I Deserve, currently in the running for the César 2024 for Best Documentary Short Film, won the Grand Prix at the IndieLisboa and Côté Court 2024 festivals, and continues to be screened at festivals such as the Sarajevo Film Festival, Bogoshorts, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Beirut Short Film Festival, 25FPS, Bieff, Lago Film Fest, Drama Film Festival, etc.
It has also been included in exhibitions such as Cubes Garges, Meet in Milan and Sample Bagnolet, and will be part of the Jeu de Paume exhibition on artificial intelligence in 2025,
curated by Ada Ackerman and Antonio Somaini.
