How do mechanics, electronics and programming work? What’s hidden under the toy lid? How do you design a play space and its furniture?
In the greenhouse erected in the entrance to Hirikilabs, we’ve created a space where young people can experiment with technology. We’ll work on different themes, divided into four workshops for young people and families: mechanics, electronics, design and manufacturing. We’ll use these themes to make various games and elements, and then play with our creations.
At this first workshop, we shall build games to understand the working of machines: cogs, pulleys, passageways… and, meshing all of that together, we shall create the material for a collaborative game. We will use recycled material and shall also learn and put into practice 3D printing and laser cutting techniques.
