Isaías Griñolo

Visual artist, videographer and exhibition curator. Lives and works in Seville. She trained through the arteypensamiento (artandthought) programme at the International University of Andalusia. Her projects are linked with her immediate surroundings and use art to address matters which arise from antagonistic practices, through memory, ecology, economics, poetry and creativity. Her audiovisual work primarily uses film essay, and her methodology brings together film diary with audiovisual remix.

Since 2011 she has collaborated with a group of poets and flamenco singers and dancers on historia_contemporánea (contemporary_history), a multidisciplinary, poetic/documental frieze which is taking note of what is happening now: a stripping back of rights, and the rise of the extreme right.
