Itziar González Virós

Architect and urban planner, she began her professional career with the Hippocratic oath that she would never build new work in rder to make efforts engaging in the rehabilitation of the architectural heritage of the historical centers and rural areas. Of her work, for years in neighbors' numerous communities in Barcelona, her vocation was born for the mediation in conflicts and the civil participation. Town planner "for popular will" , since she likes to say to her. From 2002 she collaborates with the civil platform "an altra Plaça Lesseps és possible" and establishes a methodology for her later specialization in civil participation and urbanism that has allowed her to be employed at numerous processes of urban transformation that go from the design of big infrastructures to plans of integral intervention of neighborhoods.
