Multi-disciplinary artist and intermediary in coexistence, educational, and cultural processes, and those that strive for social change. Her professional career began in 2002 as an artist and cultural intermediary. She has driven programmes and experiences to protect cultural development on a local and international level with the collaboration of public, private, and independent entities. The majority of her artistic creations are based on researching and protecting conditions that favour creative development. Ixiar García Urbieta is currently the Service, Research, and Training Manager at the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa’s Office of Culture (K bulegoa).
