Degree in Audiovisual Communication (Antonio de Nebrija University, Madrid) and MA History of Film and Visual Media (Birkbeck College, University of London).
He currently works as a critic, lecturer and cinema programmer. He is a member of the editorial board of the magazines Caimán. Cuadernos de cine (previously called Cahiers du Cinema. España) and Secuencias. Revista de Historia del Cine.
He has published articles in various magazine, such as Archivos de la Filmoteca and he has participated in numerous books, including Cinema Filipinas. Historia, teoría y crítica fílmica (1899-2009) (Festival Cines del Sur de Granada, 2010), Cine Fantástico 100% Asia (Universidad de Málaga, 2010), Historia Mundial del Cine I. Estados Unidos II (Editorial Akal, Madrid, 2012), Thomas Heise. He has also curated the seasons “Relatos del Bósforo. Estambul en el cine turco contemporáneo” (Tales from the Bosphorus. Istambul in contemporary Turkish cinema) for Casa Árabe (Madrid) in 2010 and “Amir Muhammad” for the Punto de Vista International Seminar in 2012.
Since 2013, he has been a programmer for the Lima Independiente International Festival (Peru), in addition to being the co-founder and head of programming of FILMADRID. International Film Festival (Spain).
