Jonathan García Lana - Tunipanea

Jonathan García Lana a.k.a. Tunipanea (1985, Hasselt, Belgium), with a Master’s Degree in Contemporary, Technological, and Performative Art (UPV/EHU), is a Bilbao-based artist whose work revolves mainly around the medium of sound. Tunipanea carries out his independent research resignifying the uses of every-day technology as a tool of expression and mechanism of social construction.

He builds and performs with his own sound devices created from found objects, electronic components, and industrial materials, adding in the emotional ingredient necessary to produce new possibilities and questions around the use of contemporary technology.

Tunipanea currently dedicates much of his efforts to the long-term “Lutiteka” project, whose nucleus is an experimental musical instrument lending library.
