Jone San Martin is a dancer and choreographer born in Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain. She studied with Mentxu Medel in San Sebastián and later at the INSTITUT DEL TEATRE in Barcelona, and at MUDRA INTERNATIONAL in Brussels. After several years working in companies such as La Compañía Nacional de Danza in Madrid, THEATER ULM in Germany and with JACOPO GODANI in Brussels, she became a member of the Frankfurt ballet under the direction of William Forsythe in 1992. She was a member of the FORSYTHE COMPANY from 2005 to 2015 and of DANCE ON ENSEMBLE in Berlin, from the year 2015. She has also created her own choreographic projects, which have been presented in Frankfurt, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Barcelona, Paris and Turin (among many other places).
