Jorge Núñez de la Visitación

Santurtzi, 1983. He lives in Madrid. His work in the world of cinema includes his films, cinema programming, writing, teaching, music and the stage. He has a PhD in fine arts (2013) from the University of the Basque Country, with the doctoral thesis entitled Fricciones. Artificios dramáticos en el Cine contemporáneo (Frictions. Dramatic Devices in Contemporary Film). He is a guest professor on the InCreArte master’s programme at the University of the Basque Country. Between 2013 and 2016 he co-directed the Puerta cultural space in Bilbao.

He makes films such as Poder Exótico (Screaming tides) (2009), Marrón de Momia (2012), The Mask of Atlantis (2013), Teenagers 2001 (2015), Alien Witches (2016) and Abduction Scars (2018). Since 2012 he has organised the Pantalla Fantasma weird film festival.
