Sketch artist, textile designer and silk-screen printer.
She holds an honours degree in textile design and specialised in silk-screen printing at Central Saint Martins in London in 2000.
She designs and prints textiles for ‘Quepasajulia’, her own brand collection of stamped fabrics for the home. She contributes as an illustrator and sketch artist to publishing houses and magazines including Planeta, Vanity Fair and AD.
Using motifs, textures and colours, she transforms her fabrics and paper with small pictures — living and moving features that envelop the body or the space.
Since 2006 she has directed the Barcelona International Festival of Illustrated Books ‘Como Pedro por mi casa’, and works in tandem in the world of illustrated book self-publishing.
She has created projects for the Liceu Theatre, Picasso Museum, La Pedrera and DHUB, amongst others. As a teacher, she has worked with Les Ateliers du Carrousel in the Louvre in Paris, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Wallace Collection in London, the Lycée Francés in Barcelona and the La Central bookshop. She currently teaches printmaking techniques and textile design on the Advanced Degree in Fashion Design and leads the BA in Fashion Design at IED.
