Julián Pacomio (Mérida, 1986). A graduate in Fine Arts (USAL) and Philosophy (UNED). He holds a Master's Degree in Arts Practice and Visual Culture from the University of Alcalá and Artea in collaboration with the Museo Reina Sofía, La Casa Encendida and Matadero Madrid. Between 2015 and 2017 he participated in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía’s Advanced Studies in Critical Practices programme organised by Artea as part of the “Teatralidades Expandidas” project.

Some recent projects include El mundo bajo el mundo (2017) Espacio Hacedor with La Casa Encendida, Festival Frinje Madrid and Leal_Lav (2016), Psicosis Expandida (2015) and My Turin Horse (2012), performance arts works that explore the idea of copying, remaking, translation and appropriation of foreign materials. Depicting Khartoum and Depicting Juba (Arts, politics and society) that were held to mark the independence of the Republic of South Sudan. Surroundings (immersion performance and installation) with Medialab-Prado Madrid, University of Salamanca and the Castile and León International Arts Festival.
