Intensive three-day workshop with Jorge Dutor and Guillem Mont de Palol in which we will immerse ourselves in the world of stage creation, working on aspects such as choreography and set design.
In this workshop we will build choreographic landscapes based on materials that we find. We will create ephemeral, virtual architectures that question or tell us stories. We are going to move away from the object (humanist and concrete) and place the emphasis on the material (post-humanist and abstract). We are going to build a 1:1 scale model where we can see the relationships between those objects that unsettle, torment or disturb us.
We will ask the participants to be alert when they walk down the street, to observe what can be found in their day-to-day environment, in the most intimate domestic situations, or in the rubbish, in order to find “monster” materials that are either sufficiently suggestive or dull for us to play with and use to compose our 1:1 model.
