La leyenda del tiempo (The legend of time) portrays the story of Isra, a gypsy boy who, after the death of his father, will never be able to sing despite belonging to a tradition of singers. He lives dreaming of traveling away from the island where he was born. 
Besides, Makiko travels to the island to try to assimilate a tradition and a way of understanding life that are alien to her, and with which she hopes to face the inexpressible emotions that her father's illness awakens. Two characters who, although they still do not know it, are in full transit, about to become other people.
