Lander Castro

Member of the Platanobolígrafo production company where he has worked as an editor in different feature films, short films and television series. He has also collaborated closely with film festivals such as Zinebi or Fant Bilbao and has worked for artists such as Antoni Muntadas or Alfred García and for the Guggenheim Bilbao, Bilbao Fine Arts Museum and Centro Botín.

In 2021 he shoots his first short film as director and screenwriter, "Carnívoro" which premieres in the official section of Sitges that same year and is selected for festivals such as Screamfest Los Angeles, Clérmont-Ferrand, Toronto After Dark, Cinexpose New York, where he wins the award for best short film or Piélagos en Corto, where he receives the nomination for best cinematography. That same year he received funding from the Zinebi festival, the Arriaga Theater and the Bilbao City Council to shoot a documentary short film about the disappearance of neighborhood cinemas called "Mamuak".

He is currently developing his first feature film project, "Sustraiak", which received support from the Basque Government for cultural creation in 2021 and the series project "Agur, Terrorista" based on the life of the Basque actor Lander Otaola, within the 2deo serieak programme.

 

Igor García

Co-founder of the production company Platanobolígrafo in which he has worked closely for  brands such as Filmax, Guggenheim Museum, Alhóndiga Bilbao, Zinebi, Heineken, BBK or Centro  Botín. 

He has directed and written short films such as "Superdown" or "La Piscina", selected in the  official section of the Zinebi festival. He has also been producer of feature films such as "La  Noche del Virgen", film nominated for the Silver Meliés, and short films such as "Prime Time",  "Carnívoro" or "Mamuak". He has worked since 2013 as director of photography in productions  such as "Nunca Pasa Nada", premiered in the official section of the Malaga festival, "Moda",  included in the official section of the Zinebi festival, the official section of FICX and winner of the  Gava award for best Spanish Short Film, "Prime Time", or "Carnívoro", premiered in the official  section of the Sitges festival and with which he received the nomination for best cinematography  at the festival Piélagos en Corto. 

He is currently developing the feature film projects "Yerma", his directing debut, "La Anfitriona", a  feature film by Roberto San Sebastián that has received the support of the Diputación Foral de  Álava for its production and the series project "Agur, Terrorista", based on the life of the Basque  actor Lander Otaola
