L’ Argent (El dinero), Robert Bresson, France, 1983, 83 OV with Spanish subtitles

In what was his last film Bresson adapts a short story by Tolstoy to tell us the story of Yvon, who is unfairly accused of trying to pass off forged banknotes. This problem with the law will change the young man’s life for ever. With Money (L’Argent) the French director won the Best director award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1983, an award that he shared with Andrei Tarkovsky for Nostalghia.
