LOCUS*

 

LOCUS* is a project that explores the community art|mental health confluence. It overthrows the concept of ‘safe place’ – which in the prevailing psychiatric system is linked to police restraint and healthcare spaces – using various contemporary creative languages and restores coexistence with the madness that exists in mutual support.

Its core team comprises three cultural workers with first-hand experience of psychic suffering: Ana CSC (Vallekas, 1993), Francesca Alessandro (Catania, 1990) and Iris Sofia (Agadir, 1995).
