The RIZOMA de CINE award was created in 2010 to impulse new voices in Spanish cinema. Nowadays is has become a platform aimed to launch emergent filmmakers helped by Cameo, Filmin, Zeitgeist Films (EE.UU.) and Cineteca.
During 2018 RIZOMA award net grows and will be screened in nine places: Filmoteca de Catalunya (Barcelona), CGAI Filmoteca de Galicia (A Coruña), Filmoteca de Albacete (Albacete), Filmoteca de Extremadura (Cáceres), Filmoteca de Andalucía (Córdoba), Laboral Cinemateca (Gijón), Casa de Cultura (Molinicos, Albacete), Filmoteca de Valencia (Valencia), and Tabakalera (San Sebastián).

Luz travels to Europe in search of a better future for herself and her son, whom she has left in Bogota. In Rome, she starts by settling in a postoletto: a shared room for emigrants that, like her, dream of remaking their lives. Luz starts from scratch, working as a hotel maid with others that become her connection with the world. Everything is going fine until she unexpectedly meets Fran.
Los Objetos Amorosos is a road movie without the road, a trip in which Luz and Fran live according to their own rules, in a picture-perfect Rome that is no longer valid for those from other latitudes.
The project took the study of Latin American women migrating to various European cities as a point of departure to create staged fiction with documentary license. The project was developed in the Real Academia de España Roma, and debuted at the Seville European Film Festival, where it earned the FIPRESCI Critic's Award. It also won the Rizoma Film Prize, Best Picture, and Best Actress at the Queer Lisboa Film Festival, Best Actress at Lesgaicinemad (Madrid International LGBT Film Festival), Best Director and Best Acting at Zinegoak (Bilbao International LGBT Film Festival), and the Audience Award at Queer Sicily.
