Valencia, 1989. My first relationship with the public space was through graffiti and the writing of a name; writing it in better and better ways and in as many places as possible. After a while, I started questioning how to do it, at what times, where... matters that helped me to discover the city I lived in. The four letters that I use, L U C E, are understood differently in the context of graffiti because I use tools to write them. The wooden rectangle templates result in a high level of legibility. Use of the templates created variations that led to contact with the object and the material that is wood. Working with volume created greater integration with the space and fostered my creativity. Now, I mostly work with ideas in which LUCE is not written. The word is disappearing to generate new freedoms with the space while creating links to generate new dialogues.
