Lucía Salas is a film critic, curator and filmmaker. Born in Trelew, in the Argentinian Patagonia, she moved to Buenos Aires in 2008 to study Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires. In 2017 she moved to Los Angeles to study the MA Aesthetics and Politics at the California Institute of the Arts thanks to a Fulbright scholarship and to the Argentinian Ministry of Education. She has just completed her residency at RAW, Residencies Arche-Raw between the DocLisboa and Márgenes festivals. She currently lives in San Sebastián and works as an independent critic and producer at international festivals for several media outlets and as a member of the editing committee of the film magazine La Vida Útil. Along with the LaSiberia Cine collective she has made the films Implantación (2016) and Los Exploradores (2016).
